Solvent-based Adhesives
H.B. Fuller’s comprehensive line of solvent-based adhesives solve the most challenging bonding applications in the aerospace, automotive, appliance, HVAC, electronics, transportation, marine, sporting goods, industrial assembly, footwear, woodworking, panel manufacturing, lamination, and textile industries. Solvent-based adhesives tackle demanding bonding applications for similar and dissimilar substrates, including metals, composites, plastics, rubbers, low surface energy substrates, wood, treated wood, foams, sponges, laminates, textiles, coated fabric, leather, carpet, EPDM, vinyl films, thermoset plastics, TPO, and fibers.
Our solvent-based adhesives provided flexible process solutions through brush, roller, spray, bead apply, or ribbon apply using manual or automated processes and provide great bond strength, heat resistance, and bond line flexibility. This line of adhesives is less sensitive than other types of adhesives to contaminates on the surfaces to be bonded. They span a full spectrum of cross linking and thermoplastic systems comprised of natural and synthetic rubbers (elastomers) such as polychloroprene, polyurethane, acrylates, nitrile, block co-polymers, butyl, polybutene, and EPDM.
H.B. Fuller’s solvent-based adhesives key advantages include:
- Immediate handling strength (green strength)
- Low temperature application
- Permanent and non-permanent bonding capability
- High adhesion and heat resistance
- Reactive, cross-linking durability for some products
