Heat-Activated Film Adhesives (HAF)
H.B. Fuller’s advanced, heat-activated, film adhesives offer a low- or no-flow, mess-free alternative to liquid adhesives. Our thermoplastic and thermosetting heat-activated film adhesives (HAFs) bond to a wide range of substrates, including metals, plastics, urethane rubbers, flexible circuits, polyamide/nylon, fabrics, and leather.
Our patented Flexel™-branded thermosetting film adhesives cure forming a crosslinked polymer network that offers a tough, flexible, heat-resistant bond. The combination of low activation temperature and thermosetting technology results in a superior bonding solution that performs like a thermosetting adhesive but in an easy-to-use film form. These reactive films are especially valuable in assemblies that require very high impact, bond and peel strength, outstanding damp heat and humidity resistance, and high-pressure sealing capability.
Our Flexel™ adhesives have low activation temperatures that are gentle on temperature sensitive components and substrates like batteries, plastics, leather and fine textiles for optimal aesthetics. Moreover, our Flexel™ films have very fast curing speeds enabling high throughput manufacturing.
H.B. Fuller’s heat activated film adhesives feature:
- Easy-to-use film form
- No messy application equipment
- Immediate handling strength
- Low temperature application
