Coil Coating
At H.B. Fuller, we understand that the wide range of applications for coil coating laminates requires extremely individual adhesive systems, which is why we work with you directly to address your specific needs.
Coil Coating, also called continuous metal Coil Coating, is a process for coating (stainless) steel, aluminum or other metal coils. If plastic films in combination with bonding agents are used for coating, the results are composite materials, so called Coil Coating laminates, which combine the best properties of both components, the metal and the coating.
Benefits of Coil Coating

Film Lamination
H.B. Fuller offers a broad range of bonding agents for continuous in-line film lamination using the Coil Coating process. Irrespective of the area of use – interior or exterior applications, decorative or functional areas of use – our Coil Coating adhesives have excellent adhesion on a wide variety of metal surfaces and plastic films. Due to modern manufacturing processes, they also make a valuable contribution to environmental stewardship.
Functional Coating
For decades, functional Coil Coating bonding agents for various metal substrates have proven their value globally on millions of square meters. Whether polar or non-polar plastics – H.B. Fuller has high-performance solutions for most application areas. Our Köratac HL series provides maximum bond strength in the final product but minimum blocking in the pre-coated coil. Due to the block resistance, those bonding agents can be applied, the coated coils processed and reactivated after some time.
