The Glue Talk Blog
As a new marketer in H.B. Fuller’s hygiene and nonwovens business, this was my first time attending IDEA®22. The IDEA® show provides a great opportunity for networking, identifying market trends, challenges, and more. Innovation is a large part of what makes H.B. Fuller’s hygiene business successful. That innovation is driven by forming strong relationships with our customers, and events such as IDEA® can provide opportunities to further nurture these relationships with face-to-face interaction. Although attendance was lower than the record-breaking numbers in 2019, all attendees seemed excited to be back with one another, in person, enjoying the warm Miami weather.
H.B. Fuller exhibited at booth 2415, showcasing the message “Deliver Leaner, Imagine Greener, Discover Cleaner.”
- Deliver Leaner H.B. Fuller has a range of innovative adhesives and service solutions that can increase line efficiencies and enable a leaner manufacturing process for increased productivity.
- Imagine Greener As consumers seek out more ecological products, H.B. Fuller’s adhesives can support hygiene producers’ sustainability goals.
- Discover Cleaner H.B. Fuller offers proven expertise and global capabilities to help hygiene manufacturers address the rising demand for ingredient transparency and safety, driven by consumer groups and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). We can help you deliver safe articles that are compliant or even at lower limits versus industry Substance of Interest (SOI) targets.
H.B. Fuller sent 11 attendees from the commercial, R&D, technical service, and marketing teams, representing our businesses in the Americas, Europe, India, the Middle East and Africa. Our team took advantage of every opportunity at the in-person event, securing more than 30 meetings during the three-day show with customers and co-suppliers. These meetings were a highlight for H.B. Fuller, as they helped us uncover new goals and trends through meaningful discussions. In addition to sustainability and cost savings, companies are focusing on material reduction and providing solutions and process adjustments that help reduce their carbon footprint. At H.B. Fuller, our goal is to drive these conversations and provide our customers with solutions.
IDEA® will return to the Miami Beach Convention Center April 22-25, 2024. Due to the dynamic and innovative nature of the Nonwovens and Hygiene industries, it was decided to increase the frequency of the show from every three years to every two years to facilitate increased face-to-face meeting opportunities. “The ability to interact on a two-year basis will improve the commercial opportunities for all,” says INDA’s president, Dave Rousse, during an interview with Nonwovens Industry magazine. IDEA®22 left our team feeling excited, rejuvenated and ready to innovate. I am looking forward to taking my learnings from my first show and applying them as we prepare for IDEA®24.
