HVAC Solutions
Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) refers to the various systems and technologies used to control the temperature, humidity, and air quality in residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial buildings.
Air ducts are used to distribute the heated, cooled, or ventilated air throughout a building. Our products are used primarily to seal air ducts, prevent leaks, and insulate components to enhance the system’s performance. By preventing air leakage, our products contribute to energy efficiency, maintain indoor air quality, and enhance the longevity of HVAC systems.
H.B. Fuller HVAC Solutions
Enhance HVAC Performance with our Proven Adhesives, Sealants, and Butyl Tapes
We have a comprehensive product line that serves the specific needs of the HVAC industry. We provide professionals with high-quality sealants, adhesives, mastics, and tapes. Whether you’re looking for an adhesive for all types of insulation, a weather barrier to combat tough conditions, or an HVAC sealant, you can find the right solution for the job.
-
Duct Liner and Duct Wrap Adhesives
Adhesives play a crucial role in the installation of duct liners and duct wraps in HVAC systems. We have range of attachment adhesives designed to bond insulation materials to the inner and outer surfaces of HVAC ducts, providing durability and resistance to environmental factors.
- Duct liner adhesives are used to attach duct liner and insulation to the interior surfaces of HVAC ducts to improve thermal insulation, reduce noise, and prevent condensation. Our adhesives ensure a strong and lasting bond between the liner and the duct surface.
- Duct wrap adhesives are used to attach insulation to the duct and seal seams and laps in facings on the exterior of HVAC ducts to enhance thermal insulation and prevent energy loss. Our adhesives help secure the wrap material in place, particularly at seams, overlaps, and junctions.

Duct Sealants
Sealants are a critical component in HVAC systems for sealing ducts, ensuring airtight connections, and improving overall system performance. We have a range of sealants and tapes developed for duct sealing, including for sealing joints, seams and around flanges.
- Duct sealants, also called duct mastics, are applied to the seams, joints, and connections in the ductwork to protect against air leakage, improve efficiency of system, and eliminate noise from air leaks. They are thick, liquid-applied, paste-like substances that are spread over duct joints to create an airtight seal. Our products can be applied by brush or spray, and have excellent adhesion, durability, and ageing properties. Their flexibility ensures they expand and contract with the HVAC system’s pressure and temperature changes.
- Duct tapes are used in conjunction with or in place of duct sealants to close gaps and joints in the duct system. They are particularly useful in areas that are difficult to reach or when quick fixes are required. Our Foil Mastic Sealant tapes create a waterproof, moisture, and airtight barrier on duct work.
- Butyl tapes are widely used for sealing flanges and connections in ducts due to their superior adhesion, ease of application, solvent-free formulation, longevity, and large joint movement capability. Our Butyl tapes are ideal for creating an air, dust, and water seal, protecting ductwork from air leakage and water damage.
