Foamable PVAc
Designed specifically for woodworking applications, our tailored adhesive products and process innovations help customers lower cost-in-use and increase production efficiencies and output. Additionally, foaming technology enables the same high performance with less water use—all while minimizing adhesive and material waste.
Our foaming adhesives offer multiple advantages:
- improved surface quality because water penetration on the surface is slower
- improved wetting because of a higher glue line
- improved airing due to higher surface
- less coat weight
- longer open time
Rakoll® 4330 is a premiere woodworking adhesive that reduces water use and also coat weight. Foaming slows water penetration, helping to improve the quality and consistency of the bonded product’s surface. Since no solvents or formaldehydes are used in its production, specifiers can actively support cleaner, more sustainable manufacturing operations.
- Suitable for a wide variety of manufactured products, including doors, fineline veneer, foils, plywood, and parquet flooring
- Foamable up to 35%. Microfoam reduces the swelling of the fibers and the water penetration in the cells, resulting in higher surface quality
Additional product advantages include:
- Foamed glue line: improved surface finishing and wetting, longer open time, and lower coat weight
- Foam stability: enables homogenous and stable micro foam
- Versatility: can be used with cold and warm press machines and is suitable for a variety of woodworking substrates
- Flexible glued joint: being a thermoplastic system, the cured glued joints remain significantly more flexible than duroplastic systems
