Isaac Bolduc Named 2021 Outstanding Volunteer of the Year

H.B. Fuller developed the Outstanding Volunteer Award to recognize employees who make community service a way of life. Since the award’s inception in 1978, we have recognized one employee every year who has given their time and talents to make a difference in their community.

Out of the many inspiring nominations submitted from around the world this year, Isaac Bolduc has been selected as the 2021 Outstanding Volunteer of the Year for his commitment to serving those in need, for encouraging his family to get involved, and for using volunteerism as a way to strengthen his relationship with his family, community, and colleagues.

Isaac gives generously of his time and talents to a variety of causes in his community, including H.B. Fuller’s Nature Preserve and corporate Community Affairs volunteer projects.

In 2021, Isaac and his family provided housing and support to a family seeking refuge from Syria. The Bolduc family assisted the family acclimate to life in the US, including an introduction to the transit system, support with job searches, and even teaching them (especially the children) how to have fun in the snow.

What prompted his nomination, however, is his commitment to supporting internal H.B. Fuller initiatives, including Make a Difference Day activities, blood drives, and the Willow Lake Nature Preserve. Isaac can be counted on to respond any time a request comes his way.

His nominator added. “The more I learn about Isaac, the more amazed I become of his big heart and his endless generosity and energy. The long list of ways he gives back is impressive!”

Isaac is making a difference in the lives of a great number of people, and the environment. He is an inspiration, a role model, and truly an outstanding volunteer.

In honor of Isaac’s commitment to service, H.B. Fuller will donate $1,000 to support a nonprofit of his choice. Isaac is not alone among H.B. Fuller employees in choosing to make a difference in his community, and we applaud all employees who continuously demonstrate the power of giving back.
